We offer a dynamic and challenging role, leading a team of lawyers and economists mandated with provision of regulatory in-depth analysis and support to the Swiss Universal Bank (SUB) and International Wealth Management (IWM) divisions of Credit Suisse. This position enables international exposure, a collaborative environment and direct contact with senior management.

Leading a team of Financial Regulations Advisors will allow you to engage, together with experienced specialists, in forward-looking regulatory change management. You will further build on our legal and/or financial experience and expand your knowledge of regulations impacting banking industry.

In our team, we analyze regulatory change proposals for their potential impact on SUB and IWM bank divisions and provide thorough and tailor-made impact assessments of upcoming regulations to our partners. We also ensure that regulatory initiatives are taken up by the appropriate implementation owners and therefore liaise with different functions and divisions within the bank to agree on the scope of business impact and implementation need.

You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, most notably for:

  • Managing a team of experienced specialists and their daily activities, ensuring quality of the deliverables;
  • Analyzing international, EU and local (e.g. Swiss) regulations and acts of law relevant for banking industry (e.g. amendments to CRD and CRR, MiFID II/MiFIR, Basel IV, FIDLEG/FINIG) to identify their impact on SUB and IWM businesses, incl. impact on financial products, services and clients;
  • You will be engaging with senior partners representing impacted business areas in order to negotiate and agree on the implementation ownership;
  • For ongoing implementation projects - providing in-depth analysis of regulatory requirements and updates on delegated acts issued under given regulations;
  • Promoting awareness of regulatory change, a.o. preparing presentations (e. g. indicating trends, business opportunities and risks for SUB and IWM), timelines, thematic review slides for senior management;
  • Open to discussing flexible/agile working.

You Offer:

We are looking for a hardworking and motivated individual with the following qualifications:

  • You hold a Master degree in law, finance or economics; additional degree is a plus (MBA, LL.M);
  • You have 4 years of experience in a law firm or a legal/compliance department of financial institution or a consultancy firm;
  • You have a documented track of leading teams;
  • You possess good interpersonal and analytical skills;
  • You have deep knowledge of MS Office (especially in Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
