Job Description:

Elevate is recruiting a Commercial Contracts Lawyer with experience in contract and commercial management for an 8-month contract. The role is working for a multinational corporation supporting Polish, German, UK and US entities. You must be fluent in English & German.

This role will be based in Krakow, Poland.

  • Experience providing substantive transactional contracts support including reviewing, redlining, drafting and managing contracts to multinational companies;
  • Experience providing legal research and writing support and using on-line research tools;
  • Can write clearly and concisely, taking into consideration different audiences and attention spans;

  • Are proficient in relevant technology, particularly contract management and contract workflow tools.

Specifically, this role will involve:

  • Drafting contracts for specific transactions for which no client templates exist;
  • Working closely with business to understand the transaction;
  • Reviewing and redlining contracts in accordance with playbook and legal guidelines;
  • Drafting amendments, SOWs and notices;
  • Assisting in client counsels in contract negotiations;
  • Comparing contracts and highlighting differences and similarities in memorandum format;
  • Drafting playbooks;
  • Delivering services efficiently.

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the legal domain with at least 3 to 4 years of experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts;
  • Experience of sales/purchase agreements, NDAs, software license agreements and other agreements;
  • Experience working in a growing, fast-paced organisation with a dynamic environment;
  • Legal process outsourcing experience preferred;
  • Excellent track record in previous client support/customer service engagements;
  • Experience working directly with US or UK client;
  • Proven ability to work in a client-centric, deadline-driven environment;
  • Excellent drafting skills;
  • Excellent customer service skills with a keen eye for detail and commitment to quality;
  • Ability to perform basic and complex research;
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work directly work with clients;
  • Ability to analyse and organize work for maximum efficiency;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - focused on supporting your clients’ needs;
  • Ability to present well on the phone and in virtual conference calls;
  • Understand how to make processes more efficient.

Technical skills:

  • Experienced in Microsoft Products like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint;
  • Experienced in contract management software, i.e. Ariba;
  • Experience using search engines and research databases like Westlaw and Lexis Nexis for legal research assignments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law required from a reputable University;
  • Advanced English and German Language Skills.
