(Senior) Legal Counsel Corporate Business Affairs, EMEA

TASKS

  • Ensure and take responsibly for compliance and observance of business matters for EMEA business lines such as GDPR, Sanction Law requirements, Product Safety, regulatory licenses for project turnkey execution Supervise regional, industrial and regulatory developments;
  • Perform due diligence on counterparties and provide the necessary risk assessments;
  • Implement tools to monitor the activities within the region in order to effectively coordinate the compliance activities;
  • Work closely with the internal stakeholders and with the legal, technical and sales department in order to offer solutions and to mitigate risks;
  • Meet the various departments and business units to enhance their skills to support the adherence to law;
  • Communicate and train the law requirements to local management, to internal stakeholders and all employees involved in the respective areas of responsibility;
  • Provide support, guidelines and leadership to team members in order to achieve the desired results;
  • Provide advisory and assistance to the operative functions and top management on adherence to law matters;
  • Prepare regular regional reports to management;
  • Corporate Housekeeping.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master Degree in Law or related field or equivalent;
  • 5-7 years professional experience in international work environments.

  • Results driven approach with high commitment and flexibility, willingness to travel;
  • Entrepreneurial skills, pragmatic mind set and possessing a sense of urgency;
  • Project management skills and ability to coordinate a number of projects in parallel;
  • Additional qualification or experience in technology organizations desirable;
  • Solid understanding of business and commerce and the ability to negotiate and resolve legal issues;
  • Ability to put legal matters into a commercial context;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to comfortably interact with people at all levels of the organization, including executive management and in an international environment;
  • Proactive attitude, high initiative to take on challenges and the ability to work autonomously.
