Job Description

In this position you will provide full range of legal services to the CHEPs/Brambles Germany and Nordics business’ , including managing contractual matters, disputes and litigation strategy and execution, intellectual property rights and compliance.

Your mission:

  • Provide commercial and pragmatic legal counsel to the Germany and Nordics Leadership Team and all Country Leadership Teams within the Germany and Nordics region/business units across a broad range of matters affecting the region and the corporation as a whole, providing reliable, cost-effective and timely legal advice and support
  • Provide legal advice and support to all CHEP/Brambles functional groups in the Germany and Nordics region including Finance, Tax, Treasury, Insurance, Digital and IT
  • Support day-to-day legal issues and anticipate, mitigate and guard against legal risks facing the company
  • Advise on a wide variety of commercial transactions with key customers and vendors for all business lines; draft and negotiate required contractual documentation
  • Leading and supporting major transactions including M&A activity. Ability to identify areas of risk and requirements for additional due diligence
  • Managing relationships, and spend, with external legal advisors in Germany and Nordics
  • Lead initiatives within the Legal function to improve the experience of the Legal function for both the Legal team and its stakeholders such as knowledge management, training and process optimization

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree + ideally qualification from an accredited law school
  • Strong German and good English language skills
  • 2 to 6+ years post-qualification in-house or large law firm experience
  • Knowledge of local legal system – knowledge of additional European region local legal system an advantage
  • Business acumen as applied to commercial contracts and disputes
  • Good analytical and technical legal skills – including drafting, negotiating, risk mitigation and problem resolution
  • Good interpersonal, presentational and networking skills
  • Passionate Team player

  • Bachelors

Preferred Level of Work Experience

  • 5 - 7 yearsHybrid Remote
