Edwards is searching for (Senior) Corporate Counsel Germany! Being a part of the EMEAC legal team and the country (and regional) leadership team, you will be acting as advisor for the Business Units and functions, especially on our commercial activities, clinical trials, and HR related topics. Moreover, you will work on Compliance matters closely liaising closely with our regional Compliance team.

How you will make an impact:

Provide legal and compliance guidance and business partnership to the company including more complex direction and guidance on project teams to execute multiple complex projects, initiatives and/or programs (such guidance may include/require conducting legal research; recommending courses of action; reviewing, drafting, and negotiating agreements; reviewing and interpreting legislation; managing litigation)
Active representation of Edwards in country industry associations, such as BVMed in Germany
Drive education on legal and compliance awareness with internal business stakeholders
Provide legal guidance to internal as well as external legal partners
Responsible for an assigned set of projects and/or small client group
Provide feedback and guidance to staff on assignments and assigned areas
Other incidental duties

What you’ll need:

Completed 1^st and 2^nd state exam - fully qualified lawyer
LL.M or equivalent from another jurisdiction is a plus
Minimum 7 years of Legal/business experience required (ideally obtained in private practice and inhouse in multinational matrix organizations
Other: Relevant industry experience (e.g., medical device, pharmaceuticals, etc.) or in highly regulated environments preferred

Represent leadership on projects within multiple areas, interfacing with project managers, legal team and higher management
Ability to provide leadership to outsourcing partners, participates on RFP
Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
