About the Role:

For our Group Headquarters in Luxembourg, we are currently looking for a Data Protection Officer (1 year fixed-term contract) for monitoring data protection compliance, advising various departments in privacy matters and serving as the main point of contact between Ferrero Headquarters, data subjects and data protection authorities.

Main Responsibilities:

Thanks to your expertise, you will provide advice and educate employees on data protection compliance. Collaborating with key stakeholders, you will draft and amend contracts, internal data protection policies, guidelines, and procedures. You will conduct training sessions for staff members involved in data handling and processing across all business units. Additionally, you will serve as the primary point of contact for data protection authorities and data subjects.

You will join a dedicated privacy team composed of the Group Privacy Counsel and around thirty privacy coordinators around the world, working closely with various departments and business units of the Ferrero Headquarters.

Who we are looking for:

  • You bring your Law degree, with a specialization in IT or data protection law, extensive background in data protection compliance or a related field together with 3-7 years of valuable experience in a similar role as a Data Protection Officer (DPO), privacy coordinator, or risk & compliance officer;
  • Your expertise in data protection laws and practices, particularly your deep understanding of the GDPR, will be instrumental in ensuring our company's compliance and data security;
  • Your strong project management skills will enable you to effectively oversee and implement data protection initiatives within our organization;
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating your ability to work efficiently under pressure while handling sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion;
  • Your excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, coupled with your keen attention to detail, will ensure clear and accurate communication with internal stakeholders and external partners.
