Team and Role

We are looking for an able and enthusiastic lawyer with around 3 to 5 years PQE to join our team, which specialises in financial services and commercial litigation. The role is London based and is to focus on financial services litigation but with opportunities to work across a range of commercial disputes.

Dentons represents a range of leading financial institutions and corporate clients and is particularly highly regarded for financial services work. We now have an exciting opportunity for a mid-level associate to join the team. The role provides the opportunity to act in disputes for sophisticated financial institutions and experience in the financial services field is strongly preferred. The role will suit an associate looking to demonstrate existing legal and case management skills but also want to develop their own strategic skills. You will be given responsibility and a good range of work in a collegiate environment working with collaborative partners.

This is an exciting and challenging role and an excellent opportunity for an associate, who is enthusiastic about progressing their career within a global firm and in supporting the ongoing growth of the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on High Court litigation in the financial services and commercial sectors.
  • Support partners in building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Make significant contributions to business development.
  • Work closely with the Banking, Regulatory Investigations, and Corporate teams where appropriate.

The Required experience, skills, and attributes

  • English law qualified.
  • Litigation experience gained within a top-tier City firm.
  • Solid academic record.
  • Sound grasp of Civil Procedure Rules.
  • General financial services law knowledge is preferred.
  • Expert drafting skills and legal research ability.
