Your role

Are you an experienced and driven professional in Data Protection who has what it takes to strengthen our team?

We are looking for a Local Data Protection Contact (LDPC) Specialist to:

  • supporting EU DP Office on data privacy matters and operational implications for the organization including advice on permissibility of personal data collection and processing, as well as adherence to data protection principles
  • supporting business with assessing changes in personal data processing activities, in accordance with UBS data protection policy and control processes
  • act as contact person for data subjects on data protection matters, review responses to data subject rights being exercised in responsible jurisdictions
  • monitoring compliance of personal data processing with applicable data protection law and UBS policies
  • supporting the DP Office tasks for the integration of UBS and CS Entities in the EU, as well as participating in breach incident process in case of data breach in responsible jurisdictions
  • supporting day-to-day communication with EU data protection authorities, management and resolution of ad hoc issues and questions, and supporting other Data Protection SMEs in the implementation of the Data Protection Office Processes on EU level

Your expertise

You have:

  • academic degree in relevant area, including Business Administration or Law
  • at least 5 proven relevant experience in data privacy or related area, preferably in the financial industry with leading institutions, business consultancies or supervisory authorities
  • knowledge of EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and ability to translate into operational implications for UBS
  • experience with corporate integration projects, milestones planning and tracking timely and high-quality delivery
  • knowledge of local banking and investment products, services and processes as well as data analytics and privacy aspects is a plus
  • privacy relevant certification, for example by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP)
  • strong analytical skills to enable structured problem solving with ability to synthesize and express complex issues into concrete outcomes
  • resilient team player with a positive attitude
  • excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • fluent in German and English
