Senior Legal Counsel

What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Support the data platform initiative (“Project”) and attend meetings as they relate to the Project;
- Advise on the following matters with support from other lawyers as needed:
- Commercial contracts including Data Transfer Agreements; MSAs; SaaS Agreements; License Agreements; Engagement Letters; Consultancy Agreements; NDAs; Transaction Agreements/Statements of Work; Partnership Agreements; Research/Collaboration Agreements; Value-add Commercialization Agreements;
- Intellectual property/joint development and shared IP arrangements;
- Asset Transfer Agreements/M&A issues;
- Entity governance;
- Marketing/Website materials and terms and conditions;
- Customer Agreements.
- Be proactive in helping drive the Projects forward;
- Collaborate with internal functions including: Procurement; Finance; Tax; Compliance; Underwriting; Claims; Data Privacy; Information Security and other AXA Group entities;
- Work with external law firms and manage external legal advice where required.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
- Qualified solicitor with a proven experience in a law firm or in-house law department (some in-house experience preferred);
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment where the focus is on providing legal advice in a commercial manner while helping the Projects develop and scale at speed;
- Experience in advising, negotiating and drafting a variety of commercial contracts;
- Good Intellectual property experience;
- Previous experience in M&A work;
- Confident, articulate with the ability to manage legal risk in an innovative environment;
- Capability to self-initiate and manage one's own tasks autonomously;
- Ability to build effective working relationships (internally/externally), establishing credibility amongst a wide and demanding client group;
- Interpersonal Communication: proven verbal, written and collaborative communication and negotiation skills. Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
- Ability to work in an international, multicultural environment within financial services;
- Ability to prioritize conflicting needs and progress matters expeditiously, proactively and follow through on projects to successful completion;
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with decision-making capability;
- Fluency in English.
