Job Description

The Legal Department is looking for a senior labour lawyer (on a 80-100 % employment basis) with experience in multiple jurisdictions (EU, USA, Asia) to take responsibility over all employment law-related matters, including employee data protection matters and labour-related compliance.

This position is open at the following locations: Berlin, Hanover, Chemnitz, Cambourne (UK) or Tampere (Finland).

This role requires

Responsibility for all employment law matters and labour-related compliance within the u-blox Group;
Drafting and maintaining template employment contracts for subsidiaries located in Switzerland, EU, Asia and USA;
Drafting and maintaining labour and data protection related policies;
Monitoring relevant labour and data protection laws and regulatory developments;
Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory labour issues (e.g. informing and training employees on EU directives, data protection requirements, etc.);
Negotiating the termination of employment contracts;
Selecting and liaising with external lawyers regarding local employment law advice.

We expect you to be pro-active, pragmatic, responsible and flexible.

You should

Have a law degree, preferably from a European university;
Have at least 5 years of professional experience in labour-related matters;
Have at least 2 years of professional experience in employee data protection-related matters;
Fluent English and good command of German (writing and oral).
