Purpose of the function:

Join our dynamic team at Daiichi Sankyo Europe as a Senior Legal Counsel (m/f/x), where you will provide expert legal advice across various functions with a strong emphasis on R&D and clinical operations. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal Europe, you will become part of a highly motivated team of legal professionals dedicated to excellence.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a legal expert for R&D activities, including clinical trials;
  • Drafting, negotiating and reviewing of contracts;
  • Providing general legal advice to different business areas of the company;
  • Accompanying scientific projects on regional and global level from a legal perspective;
  • Ensuring legal support for bringing pipeline products to the market;
  • Supporting Daiichi Sankyo’s growth process with comprehensive legal know-how;
  • Being part of the digital transformation of legal services.

Personal skills and professional experience:

  • Fully qualified lawyer with educational background in a European jurisdiction, including Switzerland, Turkey or UK;
  • Minimum 8 - 10 years’ working experience in an international company or law firm;
  • Proven record in providing legal advice in the area of R&D;
  • Open and committed to continuous learning and personal development, even beyond one's own area of expertise;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders and to clearly and precisely present complex legal matters;
  • High affinity to LegalTech;
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team, find practical solutions, and consistently keep the needs of clients in mind. A proactive and solution-oriented attitude is essential;
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written, is required. Knowledge of other European languages is an advantage.
